a little pampering..

For Mother's Day, we decided we should just pamper ourselves. It felt odd for all of us girls to be out & about, without any kids in tow. Little moments of self-indulgence go along way! Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms!

Sarah's shower

We hosted Sarah's shower this weekend! 

Melissa (home-hostess) has such cute taste, so everything turned out adorable. And Sarah looked beautiful. Here she is with Cal's sweet mom. This rocking horse was hand-carved from a tree in his grandparent's yard. So special!

Nana & Gramps babysat for us while we went to the Rangers/Astros game with the Brewer's. Ben could kick me, but I cheered for the home team. Thanks Whit, for the tickets! You're awesome!

La Hacienda Ranch

If you know me at all, you know that we LOVE mexican food. Our DFW favorite is La Hacienda Ranch. We enjoyed the nice weather and good company while waiting for our table. Here's my brothers family. The good-looking kids must take after Tami :)

4 months & counting

We had Addison’s 4 month check up this week! Her %’s haven’t changed. She’s 75% is length, 25% in weight & 5% in head circumference. We were a little concerned with her head being so little, but the Doc. says that as long as she’s somewhere on the charts, he’s not worried. That works for us! You wouldn’t believe how much she’s growing and learning. She reaches for toys, sits in her Bumbo and is starting to roll over (okay- so it only happened once & it was probably an accident, and I actually didn’t even see it, but Jenny swears that she did :) 

We’ve also been enjoying this nice weather! As much as I complain about Houston’s humidity, I’ve had to eat my words this last week. Here we are at Nate’s 2nd Birthday party! Addi’s sporting her new outfit from Kelly. Of course, her hat’s a little big . :)

And these are from last night. Addi was already in her pj’s, but it was too nice of an evening not to be outside. 

Strawberry Shortcake

So I had to take some pictures of Addi in her new hat! My friend Sara gave it to us on Sunday and I couldn’t wait any longer to get her into it! Sara’s mom is quite the seamstress & had made a similar hat for Annalisa (Sara’s daughter). What talent! Annalisa looked so cute in it!

 

Sara knew how much I loved it, so her mom made one for Addi too! So Sweet!

We’re having a good time with it! Thanks again Sara!
