We ventured down to Minute Maid park this afternoon to take in a Stros game with the Paxton's. Addi came too of course. It's great having Chris & Rachel around. Chris carries Addi and Rachel grabs the diaper bag. Ben and I have a chance to hold hands or just walk or just do nothing :) I've been telling Rachel how great she is with Addison & she's finally called me out on "subconsciously encouraging them to have kids". Caught red-handed!  

Look who's sitting up!

She's been at it for a week or so, but she's finally getting the hang of it. We had our "oh my gosh babe, look at Addi" moment this weekend at the Danner's house. Addi was so enamored with Piper (their Boston terrier) that she didn't even notice she was sitting up on her own. Here she is at Room To Go, trying out the ottoman that Ben bought me for my birthday. We're such proud parents!

Addi had all of the fun should could handle for one day.

This was a monumental day! After 3 weeks of "retirement", I feel that I'm an official stay-at-home mom. When the big decision of the day is to buy a hotdog or go back into the water, you know that you've reached mom-hood! 

We met up with some girls from our Sunday school class for a day at Noah's Ark Splash Park. Addi loved it. We mostly sat in the shallow end & watched the bigger kids run around, but that was enough entertainment for us. Every so often, we we're innocent bystanders in a big kids game of "who can make the biggest splash", but Addi didn't mind. I'd wipe down her face & we'd continue our routine of kicking and splashing. We lasted 2 hours before throwing in the towel. I don't know who had more fun, me or Addi? Thank you Logos' moms, for making this such an easy transition for me!

And as far as the big decision goes, we went with the hotdog.  

At only $2, who can resist!

Dear ol' Dad

We spent Ben's 1st Father's Day with the Wall family. We made it to 1st Baptist and then headed over to Pappasito's for some good eatin'. Yum! We'll spend the rest of the afternoon watching the U.S Open (Ben's choice), but here are some pictures of the "Wall Dads". Addi was talking to us in this last one :)

Bling, Bling

Addi got her ears pierced! I went back & forth on just when was the right time to do it. She seems so little, but all the moms that I ask say "the sooner, the better". So we went for it and she did great. The lady who pierced Addi's ears asked if I hoped that the girly jewels would deter the "HE's so cute comments". Considering that people somehow miss the HUGE pink bows (& matching pink outfits), I seriously doubt these little things will make much of a difference. Regardless, they look great on her!

Fun in the Sun

We went swimming this week! I was a little concerned if Addi would take to the water, but she did great! She sat on the first step & floated in cousin Kenlee's raft (although too big). She stayed in the pool for about an hour before getting bored. If anyone knows of where to get swim diapers, please let me know. The smallest I can find is 20+ lbs. We got by without one this round, but I'd like to not chance it again.
